Boat Rental Policies

Please read the following prior to scheduling your reservation:

As of July 1, 2014, all rental boat customers and boat club members must watch the following “Georgia Rental Boat Safety” video before operating a rental or club boat on Lake Allatoona.

When you check-in at the marina, you will need to sign a form which says that you have watched the video and that you fully understand it.

You can save time at check-in by watching the video before you arrive for your reservation.

Age Requirements

All boat operators must be 25 or older, and must provide a current Georgia driver’s license. If they have an out of state driver’s license, they are required to provide a local address.

Boat Damage

Our boats must be covered for potential damage to the vessels.

  • Damage Deposit
    • A $500 refundable damage deposit will be assessed for each rented vessel. If there is no damage when the vessel(s) is/are returned, then the deposit will be credited back in 2-3 business days.
    • If there is damage to the vessel, the customer will instantly forfeit the deposit, pay for any additional costs to repair the damage, and pay for any potential rental income lost due to time spent repairing the vessel.

In the case of negligent damage, the renter is responsible for all costs to repair the damage, any potential rental income lost due to time spent repairing the vessel, and damage to the facilities, including, but not limited to, man-made or natural features, payable immediately.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a rental, renters must call the reservation office 72 hours prior to the reservation time. Cancellations made before 72 hours in advance will receive a credit for the rental which can be used within one year.

Cancellations made after 72 hours before the rental may be provided with a credit at the discretion of Holiday Harbor.

In the case of inclement weather, if Holiday Harbor determines that it is unsafe to be on the water at the time of your rental, your reservation will be refunded. Current Weather Conditions

Departure Times

To maximize your time on the water, we suggest that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your rental departure time. This will allow time for paperwork and getting everything together to load onto the boat.

Return Time

Rented vessels are due back at the scheduled return time, regardless of whether the renter is late and leaves after the scheduled time for departure. A $50 charge will be incurred for every 15 minutes that vessels are late returning.

Thank you for scheduling your boat or waverunner today. Happy Boating!
